Great seller

This is my third laptop computer and it's incredible how far the technology has come in just the past few years. The only downside is that it does not have a disc drive but I was able to purchase a very nice one for only $50--and that includes a carrying case.A bit expensive but well worth it.

I truly madly deeply insanely love this laptop. First and foremost is the aspect ratio. This is one of the fewest laptops in the market that has 3:2 aspect ratio. It has a higher display vs wider display. It's great for reading long letters and viewing photos. The second thing that I like is the charging port is magnetic. When I carry my laptop away from desk, I don't snag the cable accidentally. I think all laptops should have this type of charging port. The keyboard and display pad are silky smooth. Typing for a long time on this laptop is less strenuous. The key buttons are low profile (low key travel distance) and the display pad is big. It's silky smooth. One compromising feature is this laptop has 1 USB port and 1 USB C port in exchange of slimmer laptop. The laptop is very slim. This slimness leaves no room for auxiliary ports such as USB and HDMI. Therefore, I carry a USB hub whenever I travel.

This Surface 4 Laptop is my third Surface product after already owning the Surface Go 2 and the Surface Book 3 and I must say that my family and I are in love with all of them. Each product has it's own use for different situations and the addition of the powerful Laptop was just perfect to finally get rid of our old clunky desktop computer. I purchased the Surface Dock 2 and now I have more connectivity options than I did with my desktop for at home use. The high resolution screen looks great and the touchpad is nice and precise. The keyboard is what you would expect from a regular laptop keyboard but the highlight of the Surface Laptop is the power and portability. It's super light and the battery seems to last forever. Overall, I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a general use laptop with superb portability.

Taking the Surface Laptop 4 out of the box, the first thing you notice is how solid it feels. The matte black metallic body finish looks and feels like the highest quality you could ever wish for. The body feels solid yet it is sleek and lightweight. Although the screen is large (15") this lightweight laptop is transportable and convenient to use on long journeys (in-flight or on the train or bus) because of it's outstanding battery life. I easily got over 10 hours of use on one charge.Ports - On a slim laptop like this, there is no Ethernet port - you will need to use a USB C adapter if (like me) you prefer wired connections rather than Wi-Fi. This is no problem these days because most new adapters are very small (slim) and they have many extra ports including HDMI, Ethernet and extra USB A ports if you need them.Another thing I miss is a built-in fingerprint reader. I much prefer logging on with a fingerprint rather than typing a password. It's so much more convenient. But again, there are optional fingerprint readers out there that simply plug into the laptop and give you that extra functionality.Touch Screen - The 15" touch screen is outstanding - very clear, bright and responsive with good viewing angles. It handles multi-point gestures perfectly and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of touch responsiveness.Keyboard - I love the appearance and design of the keyboard - the keys are clearly marked with crisp white on black Alpha text - such a simple and classic design.Performance - This is easily the fastest laptop I have ever owned. It literally boots up in a few seconds. CPU processing when rendering graphics or video is fast. You won't be waiting around for things to finish. When the CPU is under a high workload the fan kicks in but with hardly any fan noise - if you can even hear it at all. Top marks for day to day processing speed but obviously, this is not a laptop for intensive game players.I don't hesitate to recommend this absolutely stunning piece of engineering.ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

I was impressed how well it works together. The disk tested to be very fast in both reading and writing. I didn’t test battery life in normal use, but installed a virtual world viewer and ran it in high performance mode. From a full charge down to 19% took 1 hour and 41 minutes. I am sure that normal usage in a lower power mode would deliver much much longer times. The power adapter has good approvals and a USB charging output. The 2496 x 1664 pixel display is quite beautiful. The keyboard, touch pad and touch screen are good as well. I found the frame rate at default settings in the virtual world app to be too slow for smooth movement of my avatar and had to go to lower quality app graphics to get reasonable performance.
